Shift Lead
As Shift Lead at Stack Wellness Cafe, you’ll play a key role in delivering exceptional service, supporting team operations, and helping the General Manager drive performance and guest satisfaction. You’ll be the go-to leader during your shift—motivating staff, ensuring a clean and organized environment, and stepping in where needed to keep things running smoothly.

What you’ll be doing?

Staff Leadership

  • Supervise and coach team members throughout the shift
  • Act as the point of contact for all staff-related questions or concerns
  • Foster a positive, welcoming, and team-focused work culture
  • Support the GM in addressing performance issues and helping staff improve

Operations & Efficiency

  • Oversee daily operations including opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols are consistently followed
  • Monitor inventory and alert the GM when supplies are low
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and guest-ready cafe environment

Guest Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure staff does the same
  • Address guest feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
  • Help drive a service-first culture that promotes repeat business

Additional General Responsibilities

(As part of your shift leadership, you’ll also take on front-line responsibilities as needed)

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet guests warmly and take accurate food and beverage orders
  • Recommend menu items and answer product-related questions confidently
  • Process payments and handle cash and credit transactions with accuracy

Food Prep & Service

  • Prepare and assemble bowls, wraps, salads, and smoothies according to recipes
  • Maintain presentation standards and ensure food quality
  • Follow food safety and prep protocols during all shifts

Cleanliness & Maintenance

  • Keep prep and service areas clean and fully stocked
  • Wash dishes and sanitize surfaces and equipment
  • Complete opening and closing checklists and daily cleaning duties
Who we’re looking for?
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Basic math skills for handling payments and balancing drawers
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Positive, proactive, and reliable work ethic
  • Previous experience in a restaurant, café, or customer service role preferred
